26% of mumbaikars are not aware that BMC stands for the Brihanmumbai
Municipal Corporation, with many thinking it to mean Bombay Mahanagar
Commission or Bombay Municipal Committee.
33% are ignorant of the fact that the shiv sena is the ruling party in
the corporation.
61% did not vote in the recent civic election.
31% people said they could not rely on the BMC to keep their area
clean, through 75% said the garbage bins in their area are cleaned
regularly.
83% people feel the water supplied by BMC is potable, But fact remains
that illegal connections and leakages lead to contamination.
